When I spoke to the Apple Support person he advised me just like Kappy did, that I should uninstall it as mac's don't get viruses. I was having issues last week with my System and had another anti-virus software program installed (not WebRoot). But it's only a matter of time and more and more viruses will sadly be knocking on our desktops and phones. ![]() ![]() Much of the reason why Viruses have been less common in the MAC world was simply because the user base was only 3-7% of the total computers in the world and so hackers focused on the larger 93% windows community. Although OSX and it's UNIX underpinnings which have a huge open source development community to fix bugs quickly vs WIndows which relies solely on Microsoft to research and fix. I really don't think that its good practice to suggest a user remove their Anti-Virus software.
